Cancer Support Group

Established May 2001

Cancer support group

Our group provides a warm and welcoming meeting place where men and women who have been diagnosed with cancer, as well as their families and friends, can join with others to build social and emotional support as an essential supplement to medical care.

We meet on the first Friday of each month, commencing at 10am in St Clement's Community Hall, 2 Eudunda Street, Stafford. Our services are offered to everyone - patient, relative or friend - FREE of charge.

Each session commences with morning tea followed by a special guest Speaker - a professional person in their particular field. A wide variety of topics are offered with a view to enhancing the quality of life for those who come to the group, for example: REFLEXOLOGY, MEDITATION, GRIEF & LOSS OF YOUR HEALTH, NUTRITION, SAND TRAY THERAPY, STRESS MANAGEMENT, TREASURE MAPPING, TAI CHI, RELAXATION, YOGA & COPING WITH YOUR EMOTIONS.

Unable to come? If you would like one of our volunteers to provide more information for you, visit you, or meet with you for coffee, please contact Leisha Rule - phone: 3269 6780 or email: candlerule@bigpond.com

mainly music

Here at St Clement's we like to help parents (and grandparents) of young children by providing activities that will help their little ones to develop and, at the same time, to provide the opportunity for social interaction with other parents in similar situations.

mainly music is a fun, interactive music session for young children (birth to school age) followed by morning tea. The aim of mainly music is to provide an environment where young children develop skills to enhance their early education, through the use of music, rhythm and rhyme with the participation of a parent or caregiver.

Our own mainly music group is held here at St Clement’s on Wednesday mornings at 10.00am in the lower hall during school terms. Cost $5 per child /$8 per family.

There is a quiet time for reflection on God's work and a social time of shared meals.

Stafford Men’s Shed

Our Eudunda Street Stafford Men’s Shed provides a local, informal location where men can spend time engaged in manual crafts such as woodworking, metal working or the restoration of old furniture, objects, machines etc.

Members range from men who are using tools for the first time to experienced woodworkers looking to maintain and hone their existing skills. The shed environment is positive and encouraging no matter what a man’s ability, and there is a strong focus on learning new skills, encouraging one another and working together. It is also a place to just be able to talk & share life’s experiences.

For further information, please contact our Parish Office.
